Pork, red cabbage and apples
Simple meal, easy to make and tastes great. We make this usually for dinner, during the week, when we are on for a treat.
The cinnamon is a surprising touch to the dish, giving it a desert-like feel.
Prepare
(5 minutes)
- 1.put 1l34fl.oz water to boil
- 2.slice the red cabbage and place it into the large bowl
- 3.cut the apples in 4 and remove the middle part with seeds, then cut each quarter in 2. Place the result in the apples bowl.
- 4.peel and chop the onion julienne, then put it in its bowl.
- 5.season the meat with salt and cumin
- 6.peal the garlic and crush it over the meat

- put the apples saucepan on medium heat
- add 1 tbs of coconut oil (or other oil you prefer)
- add 1 cinnamon stick

- put the cabbage cast iron pot on medium heat
- add 1 tbs of coconut oil (or other oil you prefer)

- put the rice pot on medium heat
- put the rice into the pot
- add 1ts of salt
- pour the boiling water over the rice
- place the lid on

- add the apples to the saucepan

- place the meat in the pan and place the lid on

- add the cabbage to the cast iron pot
- sprinkle 1ts of salt over it
- cover with the lid

- add one cup of water to the apples

- stir the cabbage
- add the onion on top
- place the lid on

- turn the meat
- squeeze the juice from the 1/2 lemon over it

- fire out to the rice
- at the sink, pour the rice in a strainer
- leave the rice in the strainer to cool a bit

- stir the cabbage and place the lid on

- take the lid off
- fire out to the cabbage
- prepare the sauce:
- take the cinnamon stick out of the saucepan
- pour the content from the saucepan in a blender and blend well until creamy
- done! enjoy!

Cut the meat in slices about 1.5cm0.6in tick.
In each plate, put 2-3 spoons of cabbage, two spoons of rice and two spoons of apple sauce, on 1/3 of the plate each. Place a few slices of meat on top, like in the picture.
